Our client, an international eDiscovery legal services firm, seeks Director of Business Development responsible for building and maintaining client relationships while identifying, pursuing and closing sales for the company’s broad suite of legal services. The ideal candidate has experience in consultative sales with an emphasis on sales and consulting directly to law firms and corporate legal department decision makers. This is a new, growth position for the company. The DBD will be responsible for helping to build out the CA market in the legal industry.

Territory – Director of Business Development

Los Angeles, Orange County, and San Diego. The office and position are in Los Angeles, California.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Source and close new legal industry clients through referrals, cold calling, networking, and leveraging the company’s marketing initiatives.
  • Sell and cross-sell e-discovery legal services, paper discovery, litigation services, deposition services, and other legal industry solutions and a variety of services offered by the company
  • Formulate sales plan to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets
  • Build a productive pipeline of law firm clients and manage each phase of the sales process
  • Collaborate with others in the office to uncover opportunities with existing clients
  • Track all sales related activities in Salesforce and schedule follow up strategies
  • Set and manage client expectations while consulting with each client for best practices
  • Cultivate and maintain long-term relationships with law firm clients
  • Manage and control pricing and budgets
  • Inside sales to set up and build relationships
  • Introduce new service lines of the company to existing and past clients, as well as prospect for new.
  • Physically working in the office in Los Angeles when not out on sales calls.

Are You Qualified?

  • Litigation and ediscovery services sales background
  • Sales life cycle experience from lead generation through closing business
  • Proven track record in achieving sales targets
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Superb problem solving and analytical skills
  • Efficient time management and attention to detail

 

 

 

Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree of its work equivalent
  • At least 3-7 years of sales experience in the legal industry
  • Experienced in MS Office Suite and Salesforce
  • Excellent English communication (written and verbal) skills
  • Travel as needed
