Schwabe is seeking a highly motivated Trademark, Copyright and IP Licensing ‎Associate to join their Portland, OR office. The ideal candidate will have the ‎following qualifications:‎

• ‎3-5 years of experience counseling clients in the selection, adoption, ‎clearance, registration and enforcement of trademark and trade dress ‎rights; representing clients in trademark opposition, cancellation and ex ‎parte matters before the U.S. Trademark Trial & Appeal Board; ‎counseling clients on copyright issues in a variety of fields, from artistic ‎and musical works to apparel designs to computer software; and ‎negotiating and drafting agreements affecting intellectual property rights, ‎including patent, copyright, trademark, technology and software ‎licensing, joint development agreements, technology transfer agreements, ‎material transfer agreements, co-branding agreements, and IT, SAAS and ‎cloud computing agreements. ‎

• Excellent academic credentials and professional references, as well as ‎solid legal research, writing, and communication skills

• Demonstrated ownership of projects and willingness to work hard in a ‎team-oriented setting, but with significant independence

• Strong client service ethics

• Admission to Oregon State Bar ‎
