Bass, Berry & Sims’ interdisciplinary Litigation and Compliance and Government Investigations Practice Groups are comprised of attorneys with deep experience in handling a variety of litigation including criminal and civil government enforcement matters. Our work for clients includes conducting internal compliance investigations, responding to government investigations, handling criminal white collar matters and civil False Claims Act litigation. With our headquarters in Nashville, the nation’s healthcare capital, and our expanding office in Washington, D.C., our attorneys have a strong healthcare component to their practices and understand both the business and the politics of healthcare. We routinely represent providers, clinical laboratories, payors, pharmaceutical companies, and medical device manufacturers in healthcare fraud and abuse enforcement actions by the government and litigation stemming from those enforcement efforts. Our compliance and investigations practice is led by our Healthcare Fraud Task Force, which includes former members of the U.S. Department of Justice, Office of Inspector General for the United States Department of Health and Human Services, and Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services with significant experience handling healthcare fraud matters across the country.

We are seeking an associate attorney with 3+ years of litigation experience for our Washington, D.C. office. Experience in healthcare fraud and abuse litigation and investigations is required. Candidates with prior federal clerkship experience are given priority consideration. Excellent research and writing skills and a team-oriented approach to legal practice are essential for this role.
