GENERAL PURPOSE The Board Development Program Manager will work closely with Program Leadership to strategize, implement, and maintain board development programs including the Black Boardroom Initiative, Onboarding Women, and co-managing national expansion of the Civic Engagement program. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS These essential functions are primary job duties that incumbents must be able to perform unassisted or with some reasonable accommodation. Day to day management of substantive program elements including developing program communications and presentations, facilitating media opportunities, managing program websites / social media accounts, and collaborating with project sponsors to ensure completion of program deliverables. Managing sponsor, mentor, cohort, and speaker recruitment. Developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders. Stakeholder communication, management, and problem-solving. Managing educational session logistics and follow up including scheduling, coordinating speaker preparation, and distributing session materials. Developing and overseeing program timelines and budgets. Providing regular updates to key stakeholders on program status, key milestones, issues, obstacles, and at-risk items. Developing and tracking program metrics and producing reports for program leadership. Developing recommendations for program expansion and improvement. SPECIFIC SKILLS REQUIRED Strong abilities in Smartsheet and Microsoft Office applications including Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, and Word. Strong written and oral communication skills including the ability to present to and facilitate discussions with senior leadership. Ability to manage using established processes, recognize where these are lacking, and define creative approaches to keep projects and programs successfully on target to meet objectives. Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability to fit changing needs of the programs. Must be detail-oriented with excellent customer service skills and ability to prioritize. Strong project management skills to efficiently manage multiple projects and meet the needs of key stakeholders. Ability to work with all levels of personnel and diplomatically interact with difficult personalities. SPECIFIC SKILLS PREFERRED Capacity to manage complex stakeholder groups. Experience developing executive communications. Familiarity with media relations. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree or equivalent required. A minimum of five years of program/project management and/or event management experience preferably in a professional services environment.
