GENERAL PURPOSE Serve as a member of the Finance Digital Transformation team which provides project management, business systems and process analysis, and subject matter expertise to support the implementation of cost-effective solution for finance department. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS These essential functions are primary job duties that incumbents must be able to perform unassisted or with some reasonable accommodation. Scope of responsibility includes: Ability to provide a variety of professional analysis services in support of projects managed by the Finance Digital Transformation team. Areas of applied expertise include: Research, Business Cases, Business Requirements/Use Cases, Data Analysis, Business Process (Re-)Engineering/Workflow Analysis, End-User Documentation, software mockups, data maps and Test Scenarios, User Acceptance Testing. Ability to manage projects under minimal supervision of the leadership. Excited to learn and evaluate AI and Cloud based products with a to-do attitude. Ready to take risks and learn. Research- Coordinates and performs detailed research in following areas: 1) Review and analysis of solutions proposed by Business / Roadmap owners. (NOTE: May be the introduction of a new technology, business process, or a change in an existing technology or business process.) 2) Assessment of existing applications, connect the dots between applications, document the workflows to give bigger picture to leadership and management. 3) Study the problem and work with management collaboratively to provide cost effective solution and be a bridge between developers and management. Stakeholder Management- Stakeholder analysis, management, and communication. Understanding what a stakeholder needs and wants, what problems they are trying to solve, and to advocate for them in a solution. Builds and manages those relationships and expectations. Business Cases- Plans, coordinates, and prepares Business Cases as an assigned task in support of major Projects. Uses a standard approach for producing the documented deliverable. Business Requirements/Use Cases/User Stories- Plans, coordinates, and facilitates business requirements elicitation sessions, documents and prioritizes the end-user requirements including the roles of the planned users, the as is and to be process models. Produces and coordinates acceptance of Use Cases/User Stories using established methods for production. Data Analysis - Performs structured data analysis of proposed systems and mapping of application data to existing applications for required interfaces. Ensures that new and upgraded systems interfaces are adequately analyzed to successfully integrate with existing application systems and supporting technologies. Business Process Engineering/Workflow Analysis- Works with stakeholders to develop efficient business processes that are properly integrated with automated systems and ensure these are being properly designed, utilized, and documented. Identifies opportunities to create efficiencies and eliminate waste. Uses standard templates to describe and document business process. Ability to create data mappings between two distinct systems or databases as part of site implementations. Experience with creating system / data flow maps. Presents outcome to stakeholders and developers. End User Documentation- Creates end-user documentation for new business processes, and new and/or upgraded applications. Risk Management- Identifies risks and make recommendations for addressing or mitigating. System Testing- Develops, documents, and executes test plans based on requirements and use cases/user stories using standard methodology. Manage and organize test sessions with end users. Software Development- Transform business requirements into functional /technical specifications and serve as an intermediate between software developers and business owner. Creates software interface mockups / wireframes. Define minimum viable product (MVP) with stakeholder(s). SPECIFIC SKILLS REQUIRED Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability to fit the needs of a defined project; making progress despite ambiguity. Demonstrated ability to interpret complex systems and technical documentation and provide understandable summaries to non-technical staff. Strong analytical skills and a background in performing complex business and product requirements analysis and producing comparisons between established business requirements and product features and functions. Ability to plan and facilitate individual and group requirements elicitation sessions, focus groups, process mapping sessions, brainstorming sessions that require active involvement of cross-functional teams. Teams will consist of technical and non-technical personnel. Ability to handle multiple competing priorities and projects in a fast-paced environment. Outstanding written communication skills and the ability to work with standardized templates and methods. Demonstrated ability to recognize the type of deliverable or documents required. Demonstrated ability to prepare and deliver technical presentations to non-technical audiences. Independent problem solver who can make high quality judgments and decisions quickly with excellent organization skills to work across functions and upwards. Experience working with Business Analysis methodologies and tools, documentation tools, and reporting tools Excellent organization skills. Microsoft Azure DevOps or similar platform. Knowledge of SQL server and basis SQL queries. SPECIFIC SKILLS PREFERRED SmartSheet Experience. Experience working with developers and leadership. High level understanding of the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) or other software development methodologies such as Scrum, Agile. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE This position requires a minimum 5 years of professional Business Systems Analysis experience. A Bachelor's Degree in business, engineering or computer science is highly desirable. Formal training and education in systems and business analysis is highly desirable.
