Steptoe & Johnson LLP seeks an associate to join our international trade team within the International Trade and Regulatory Compliance practice group in our Washington, DC office.  We are looking for candidates with experience working on all facets of antidumping and countervailing duty proceedings before both the U.S. Department of Commerce and the U.S. International Trade Commission, as well as judicial appeals of these agencies’ determinations.    

This opportunity offers excellent prospects for a proactive lawyer with a practice group that is consistently ranked in Band 1 by Chambers.  Candidates must have strong interpersonal and communication skills, a solid understanding of the relevant legal environment, persuasive writing abilities, an ability to work well under pressure and a willingness to travel internationally.  Quantitative capabilities, an accounting and/or economics background, and facility with Excel, are all preferred.  Steptoe offers competitive compensation and excellent benefits in a very collegial working environment that offers training and mentorship.
