The candidate will be representing California employers in employment litigation and administrative proceedings and in traditional labor law matters. Will be advising employers on employment law issues, conducting trainings, and reviewing policies and agreements. Providing advice and preventative counseling to clients on the full range of laws affecting California employers, including in the areas of discrimination and harassment, wage-and-hour, leaves, wrongful termination, and WARN Act compliance. Representing employers in federal and state litigation, arbitration hearings, and administrative proceedings. Conducting trainings on employment law compliance. Preparing and updating employee handbooks, employment and independent contractor agreements, and other employment policies. Conducting legal research and analysis. Assisting employers in traditional labor-management issues, including contract negotiations, grievances and arbitration, and proceedings before the National Labor Relations Board.
