GENERAL PURPOSE Perkins Coie has an immediate opening for Litigation and Transactional Legal Practice Assistant Concierge (LPAC). Candidates must have excellent skills in communication, computers, and organization. This position will provide highly varied and complex administrative support, with minimal supervision, to assigned attorneys. Please note: This position is fully remote and requires a normal PST work schedule. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS These essential functions are primary job duties that incumbents must be able to perform unassisted or with some reasonable accommodation. Proactively maintain overview of timekeepers workload and caseload; anticipate next steps and implement follow-up procedures to ensure each task is appropriately tracked and carried through to completion. Provide training/mentoring to junior level associates to assist with their development in adhering to firm best practices. Possess a high level of understanding of all firm resources, delegating work to the appropriate resource. Create, edit, revise, redline, and/or proofread documents. Maintain timekeepers calendars of meetings and business trips. Coordinate client/attorney/administrative conferences, meetings, and appointments for timekeepers and clients. Coordinate travel arrangements as necessary. Establish and maintain client files. Process and route incoming mail, faxes, and electronic communications. Prepare outgoing mail in coordination with Office Services (including boxes/packages for shipment) for prompt delivery, arranging for messenger services as needed to meet deadlines. Coordinate preliminary conflicts checks. Prepare new client/matter intake forms and engagement letters. Assist with billing process, including daily time entrypotentially review and edit proformas, and prepare final with cover letter (if appropriate) in accordance with firm or department procedures. Demonstrate flexibility to handle tasks and prioritize workflow. Require ability to become proficient in the use of ServiceNow workflow tool, utilizing it to manage work throughout the department. Responsible for tracking daily time by category in ServiceNow workflow tool. REQUIRED SKILLS The ideal candidate will have the ability to accurately type 65 wpm, communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, and establish effective working relationships across the organization. Candidate must possess strong command of the English language, including excellent spelling, grammar, punctuation, form, and style. Strong knowledge of MS Word, Outlook and Excel, and familiarity with basic office equipment is necessary. Excellent organizational and prioritization skills and a thorough understanding of pertinent legal terminology and procedures is also required. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, as well as three or more years of experience in a law firm environment. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a law firm environment specifically supporting litigation and/or transactional practice groups. This position may be filled in Colorado or New York. These ranges are specific to Colorado and New York, depending on qualification and experience and may not be applicable to other locations. Colorado compensation range: $54,970 to $98,930 annually, New York compensation range: $63,780 to $114,800 annually.
