Stevens & Lee
Philadelphia, NJ or NY, Pennsylvania
  • Job Type
    Law Firm Associate
  • Job Status
    Full Time

Stevens & Lee is a full-service law firm with more than 180 attorneys and 40 non-lawyer business and consulting professionals representing clients on a regional, national and international scale. We have established a reputation as one of the preeminent providers of sophisticated legal services in the region.

Our litigators are problem-solvers who deliver efficient, desired outcomes to clients facing disputes. We litigate and try cases for our clients nationwide with an emphasis on client service, a comprehensive understanding of our client’s business and industries, and strategic planning for the efficient achievement of successful client outcomes. We seek qualified litigators to support the continued growth and expansion of our Intellectual Property practice as well as our commercial litigation practice in general. Our successful candidate will have the flexibility to work in one or more of our offices located in either Bergen County or Princeton, New Jersey, New York, or in Philadelphia subject to their bar admissions.

Our targeted candidate will have 2-4 years of demonstrated Intellectual Property litigation experience (including in patent litigation and IPR proceedings). This candidate also must have a technical degree with a preference for electrical or mechanical engineering, materials science, physics, or similar fields. Although the primary focus of the position will be Intellectual Property litigation, we expect that the attorney will also work on other commercial litigation matters as well; therefore, broad-based commercial litigation experience would also be desirable.

The position will offer the opportunity to get hands-on litigation experience, including courtroom experience, taking and defending depositions, working with technical experts, and handling discovery matters. Candidates must be admitted to the USPTO and also possess strong writing skills, excellent academic credentials, an ability to work on litigation relating to a variety of technical fields (including semiconductors, medical devices, consumer products, etc.), and an entrepreneurial nature. Candidates should be able to work independently and seek appropriate guidance, plus have the ability to work in a team environment.

If you have developed skill in these areas and are looking to gain additional substantive experience with increased responsibility, all while working in a collegial environment, we would like to talk to you. We offer a competitive compensation package, excellent benefits and accelerated career opportunities.

Contact Information – Qualified candidates should forward a cover letter, resume, transcripts and writing sample to:
