Litigation Partner

Michael Best & Friedrich LLP is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Litigation Partner to help grow our expanding Austin, TX office. The candidate must be a senior level attorney with a minimum of ten (10) years of significant civil, securities and/or commercial litigation experience. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter capable of managing an active litigation case load and experienced in drafting and preparing pleadings, briefs, motions, and other litigation documents; managing discovery, including taking/presenting witnesses for deposition, oral argument, and trial preparation; conducting legal research, analysis and writing; and will possess excellent oral advocacy, communication, and writing skills. Candidate must have a reasonable book of portable litigation business.

Bring Your Best

Knowledge Base & Education:

• J.D. from an ABA accredited law school
• Excellent academic credentials
• At least 10 years’ litigation experience
• Excellent legal research and analysis skills
• Current member of the Texas bar with litigation experience in Texas federal and state courts

Adaptability:

• Ability to learn and embrace new skills and best practices as the position evolves and Firm needs change
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Ability to work well independently as well as effectively within a team

• Valid authorization to work in the U.S.
