GENERAL PURPOSE This role works with the Account Management Team (AM team), which includes the Senior Director of Business Development and Client Service and the Account Management Manager, to strengthen and expand the firms select key client relationship(s). He/she/they will work closely with the AM team to support client relationship management and execution of client team service and growth plans. The position will have direct interactions with partners, clients, and cross-functional teams. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS These essential functions are primary job duties that incumbents must be able to perform unassisted or with some reasonable accommodation. Participate in the development and execution of client team annual service and growth plans. Manage process of delivering value-add services to key clients, working with cross-functional teams (Events, Marketing Advisors, Communications, etc.) to ensure excellent client experience with the firms sponsored programs. Work closely with the Account Management Manager and Sr. Director to execute on team communication plans. Prepare various management reports and presentations for key stakeholders. Manage client dashboards on the firms intranet to house tools, best practice guidelines, and clients policy & procedures. Monitor clients news, current events, and analyst reports; share and alert team members of relevant updates. Curate weekly internal client newsletters. Share marketing ideas and opportunities as they arise. Track and report on relationship management and business development progress. Maintain client team hygiene by managing various internal distribution lists, clients mailing lists, and clients legal department organizational chart. Support the business development and relationship management efforts. Develop and maintain knowledge of the firms operations, our lawyers expertise and unique practices. TRAVEL This position may require travel. SPECIFIC SKILLS REQUIRED Demonstrated ability to use sound judgment to make decisions, meet deadlines, and work under pressure. Successful team player, ability to build collaborative relationships at all levels of firm personnel and to effectively work cross-functionally. Must be detail-oriented with excellent customer service skills and ability to prioritize. Self-starter, proactive, and problem solver. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written. Strong knowledge of Salesforce or other CRM systems and highly proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Word). SPECIFIC SKILLS PREFERRED General understanding and experience in a law firm or professional services, preferably in client service and marketing environment business model. Critical thinker, detailed oriented, and analytical mindset. Experience in project management or process improvement preferred. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Bachelors degree and a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in client service or business development in a professional services or law firm. Experience with CRM applications and advanced excel skills. This position may be filled in New York City. In accordance with the New York City Human Rights Law, the base salary range in New York City for this position is $76,010 to $112,940 annually, depending on qualifications and experience. This range is specific to New York City and may not be applicable to other locations. Perkins Coie may provide a discretionary bonus annually and information regarding benefits can be found here.
