Practice Attorney - Technology Transactions & Privacy
Job Description: Perkins Coie is seeking a practice attorney, with preferably three or more years of technology transactions experience to work on a variety of commercial transactions as well as help manage client portfolio arrangements with institutional firm clients. The attorney filling this role will be responsible for effectively managing client workstreams and coordinating with attorneys outside of the practice subgroup when necessary. The attorney filling this role will interact directly with the client and work closely with in-house counsel reporting regularly on the status of matters. Project management experience is a plus. There will also be substantive legal work performed in addition to the work flow management responsibilities so familiarity with drafting and reviewing commercial agreements is required. The ideal candidate will have excellent attention to detail and the ability to independently handle tasks ranging from matter assignment and organization to tracking deadlines, ownership of a portfolio of matters, and excellent legal analysis skills. The ability to work well within a team is required. Washington bar admission is preferred. Although we will consider remote working arrangements for this role, visits to the client in Seattle will be required. This is a non-partnership track position with a lower annual billable hour requirement. In accordance with the New York City Human Rights Law, the base salary range in New York City for this position is $112,000 to $180,000 annually, depending on qualifications and experience. This range is specific to New York City and may not be applicable to other locations. The compensation for this position may also include a discretionary annual bonus.
