Senior Counsel/Legal Counsel, Oncology Legal, Gaithersburg, MD

At AstraZeneca we turn ideas into life changing medicines. Working here means being entrepreneurial, thinking big and working together to make the impossible a reality. We’re focused on the potential of science to address the unmet needs of patients around the world. We commit to those areas where we think we can really change the course of medicine and bring big new ideas to life.

One of our key and fastest growing therapy areas is oncology. Even as research and development continues to break boundaries in how we understand and fight cancer, there are still more than eight million lives lost every year to the disease.

AstraZeneca is committed to advancing the science of oncology to deliver life-changing medicines to patients most in need. With a combination-focused pipeline that exploits the power of four scientific platforms to help address unmet clinical needs in a host of cancers, we are motivated by a dedication to the scientific discovery and collaboration that will one day help eliminate cancer as a cause of death.

The role

We have an exciting opportunity for a talented, business-savvy and intellectually curious lawyer to join our Oncology Legal team and be at the cutting edge of healthcare law by counseling our global Oncology commercial and R&D organizations. We are looking for the right lawyer to join our team in Gaithersburg, Maryland.

The AstraZeneca Legal function values flexibility, creativity, and a willingness to learn and accept new challenges. We foster a collaborative environment and focus on professional and personal development.  We provide our lawyers with broad experience and the opportunity to work with diverse stakeholders.
